The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) is dedicated to improving the nation's ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from public health emergencies. Through these centers, ASPR works to ensure effective strategies and resources are in place for disaster resilience and health security.

Note: Offices marked with an asterisk (*) report to multiple parts of the organization. Within the Center for Administration, the Deputy Head of Contracting Activity is also a member of the Center for the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority. Within the Center for the HHS Coordination Operations and Response Element (H-CORE), the Office of Analytics, Data, and IT is also a part of the Center for Preparedness but provides support to H-CORE.
