MRC: Medical Reserve Corps

The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a national network of more volunteers, organized in hundreds of units to improve the health and safety of their communities. The MRC recruits, trains, and activates volunteers to respond to community health and safety needs during emergencies.

NDMS: National Disaster Medical System

The devastation of natural and man-made disasters brings an urgent need for health and medical care. When that happens and at a state’s request, Office of the National Disaster Medical System (NDMS) provides personnel, equipment, supplies, and a system of partner hospitals that work together with state and local personnel to provide care when Americans need it most.
